Where Young Minds Take Flight

Monarch Charter School is a TK–8 public charter school in Redding, CA founded on fostering individual student success. We're more than a school — we're a family built on respect, understanding, and excellence.

A Place Where Every Child Belongs

As a California public charter school, Monarch is dedicated to principles that avoid one-size-fits-all approaches — fostering individual student success through a cooperative community of teachers, parents, and students.

Academic Excellence

Individualized learning across TK–8 with dedicated classrooms, small class sizes, and a curriculum that places a high value on academic achievement and student growth in all areas.

Safe & Nurturing

Regular safety drills, first-aid certified teachers, structured problem-solving protocols, and a caring community where each student is treated as an individual and families are true partners.

Extended Learning

ELOP before and after school care, dedicated science and PE hours, electives, field trips, and special services including GATE, speech, and special education support.

We're More Than a School, We're a Family

Monarch Learning Center is a California public charter school (Charter #307) with no attendance boundaries. Any family living in Shasta County or its contiguous neighboring counties may become part of the Monarch Community.

We believe that the education of children must be a cooperative venture between the school staff and the parents. It requires a community where each individual — teacher, parent, and student — assumes responsibility for his or her own role within the community.
